Dana White Calls Ronda Rousey Underrated

UFC President Dana White once stated that women would never fight in the UFC, but quickly changed his tune when Ronda Rousey arrived on the scene.

Despite all that Rousey achieved in her professional MMA career, the UFC President still claims that the female fighter is underrated.

“She's underrated,” White said on Pardon My Sports. “Look at what she did. Look at what she built. She started it all."

Rousey was the first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and she did defend the belt six times before losing it to Holly Holm at UFC 193.

White still credits the former women’s bantamweight champion for starting the female MMA phenomenon.

"You had such a dominant female fighter," White added. "She was so bad ass and she spoke well and she was pretty. That whole combination of what she was, built that whole female mixed martial arts phenomenon. She was the right person at the right time to do it.”

The former women’s bantamweight champion hasn’t competed since being destroyed by Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. Rousey’s future may be in the world of professional wrestling, because she has recently been seen training with former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick.
