UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino has expressed an interest in fighting former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm at UFC 219.

Dana White is the UFC President and he is hoping to get the fight between the two female stars signed as soon as he possibly can.

"Yeah, yeah, I think we’ll get it done,” White said at the UFC 216 post-fight press conference. "It’s not done yet. I can never predict what’s gonna happen, but I think we’ll get it done. Soon.”

Holm has also expressed an interest in fighting for the gold again, as she has previously fought Germaine De Randamie for the belt at UFC 208.

Cyborg and the UFC have been having issues lately coming together on a new contract. Cyborg previously stated that the UFC’s latest contract offer to her was lower than her last one and she has yet to sign a new deal.

Currently, the UFC 219 card has no main event at this time, although there have been several bouts announced for the card.

UFC 219 takes place on Saturday, December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
