Dana White Responds To Conor McGregor Using Homophobic Slur

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor was recently caught on film backstage at UFC Fight Night Gdansk using a homophobic slur.

UFC President Dana White believes the issue is that people -- especially fighters -- need to get educated on the subject.

"We've had a problem with that lately. It's been more than him, we've had a problem with that. It's a thing you have to educate people on and I've had my history with it myself. So it's definitely a problem, and it's something we need to focus on,” White said to TMZ Sports.

McGregor recently appeared on The Late Late Show to apologize for using such language.

White also believes that only thing McGregor can do outside of apologizing is to donate money to worthy causes.

"What else is he gonna do? If you apologize and that's not enough, what else can you do, you know what I mean? You can donate money, you can. . . whatever. I don't know,” says White.

The UFC Lightweight Champion hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since defeating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 and McGregor himself recently stated that the UFC brass are trying to get him to compete by the end of the year.
