“My relationship has never been better with GSP. I’m glad we got together,” said White.

GSP even talked about his relationship with the UFC Presidentm as well. While things are not perfect, he did make peace with the UFC’s head honcho.

“Last week I met with Ari and I made peace with Dana. I tried to resolve things but unfortunately right now it’s not happening,” St-Pierre said in a response to a challenge from Michael Bisping. “Hopefully things will change soon.

“Dana White’s the best promoter in the world … He raised the bar for all of us,” St-Pierre said. “I know what the grind is. I made my way and I worked very hard. I’m very proud of it.”

GSP declared himself a free agent a little over a week ago, but White believes that when the fighter does return to competition, it will be happening under the UFC banner.

“(When GSP is) at least somewhat confident (to fight again), he’s under contract with the UFC so yes if he returns to fighting it would be with us,” White stated.
