UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and former champion Jon Jones both attended the UFC Summer Kickoff Press Conference.
However, the two almost came to blows backstage before the press conference and according to DC, it all started when Jones mentioned his kids.
“You know what happened behind the stage? He’s a b*tch,”He’s a b-tch and he said something about my kids, so I smacked him in the face with a water bottle. B-tch ass ni--a. You know what you are. He just said he’s back, right? But is he back? Doesn’t he have two more months of suspension? Is he back? Is he really back? Are you back junkie?,” Cormier said to MMA Fighting.
Jones hasn’t given his take on why things nearly got physical backstage, but those two weren't the only two fighters to almost come to blows at the event.
That’s because lightweights Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee also nearly fought after Lee brought up Chiesa’s mother when answering a question.
