Dos Anjos Calls For Interim Title Fight, Woodley Responds

It was recently announced that former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos and former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler will battle in the main event of UFC On Fox 26.

Dos Anjos feels that since UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley is currently out of action due to an injury, then his upcoming bout should be for the vacant UFC Interim Welterweight Title.

The former lightweight champion made his feelings known through both Twitter and Instagram:

Woodley would eventually get wind of the interim title request from Dos Anjos and he issued a response of his own through Twitter:

Those four events that the welterweight champion was writing about in his tweet are UFC 201, UFC 205, UFC 209 and UFC 214.

UFC On Fox 26 takes place on Saturday, December 16 from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with Robbie Lawler and Rafael Dos Anjos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
