Drew Galloway Yet To Sign New TNA Deal

Drew Galloway's contract with TNA reportedly is about to expire and he has not signed a new deal yet.

The Wrestling Observer first reported on the status of Galloway. According to the publication, Galloway's current deal with TNA expires next month and he has not signed a new contract.

Part of the reason for Galloway's hesitation may have to do with the changes currently taking place on the independent scene in the United Kingdom. Galloway is one of the top wrestlers for ICW, which is based in his native Scotland. ICW content reportedly will begin airing on the WWE Network soon. Galloway also appears regularly for EVOLVE, which has its own working relationship with WWE; and World of Sport, which is trying to revive its brand starting with a pilot episode that aired in December. Galloway also is working with Five Star Wrestling, another UK-based company that recently announced its own live television special, which air on Spike TV in the UK.

Since he was released by WWE in 2014, Galloway has been busy on the independent scene, winning championships in TNA, EVOLVE, ICW, and WCPW. Galloway, who had to take off time in late 2016 due to a neck injury, made his return to TNA at the recent set of TV tapings, completed earlier this month in Orlando.

Galloway recently did a podcast interview where he said he and TNA still were hoping to come to terms on a new deal.

During his tenure with WWE, Galloway held the Intercontinental Title and teamed with Cody Rhodes for a championship reign in the tag team division.
