Duke Roufus Says CM Punk In Training For Next UFC Fight

Former multi-time WWE Champion CM Punk made his professional MMA debut at UFC 203 and was subsequently destroyed by Mickey Gall in the first round.

Speculation has surrounded the former pro wrestler since that loss to Gall, but coach Duke Roufus is now stating that Punk is in training for his sophomore UFC appearance.

Although Roufus says that Punk is awaiting a fight confirmation, the longtime coach doesn’t indicate who a possible opponent could be. The former WWE Champion indicated after his loss to Gall last year that he would continue fighting despite the rough start. 

Neither Punk or the UFC have commented on Roufus’ claims and it is also unknown just how much improvement Punk has made since that initial Octagon appearance.
