Eddie Alvarez Breaks Down The Holes In Conor McGregor's Game

MMA

Conor McGregor avenged a major loss personally and professionally at UFC 202 when he defeated Nate Diaz. However, his UFC 205 opponent Eddie Alvarez sees gaping holes in McGregor's syle.

Alvarez, who appeared on The MMA Roasted Podcast, talked about a flaw that he has noticed in McGregor’s game, one he believes can help him keep his title in a few weeks.

"To me, he's just a left hand," Alvarez said. "He's just a guy with a left hand. That's how I see him. He does something that we call a 'rock back' well. Mayweather does it. A lot of Philly fighters do it. He (McGregor) lives and breathes off it. A lot of MMA guys don't know about these boxing things that they do. This is a move that's very easily taken away and we're going to dominate every step of the way."

Despite letting the world know about what he thinks he can exploit in the featherweight champion, Alvarez believes he didn't give away too much.

"Without giving away a gameplan or anything, everything's taken away with the proper preparation. I'm confident in my coaches, I'm confident in our gameplan and our ability to go out there and do it. We're just following this gameplan step-by-step," said the UFC Lightweight Champion Alvarez.

UFC 205 will be taking place on Saturday, November 12th from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor in the main event.
