Exclusive: Additional Details From Lesnar - Jericho Fight

It doesn't appear there will be any backlash on Chris Jericho in regards to his incident with Brock Lesnar.

I spoke with several talents and employees within WWE over the last twelve hours who said that Chris Jericho was revered backstage for the incident involving Brock Lesnar. The two got into a scuffle following the close of Summerslam that saw Lesnar repeatedly elbow Orton in the head.

The people I spoke with said Brock Lesnar and Michael Hayes came off poorly backstage, and weren't giving Chris Jericho a straight answer in regards to the situation. Randy Orton, Triple H and Vince McMahon all reassured Jericho that everything went down the way it was planned, but Jericho still wasn't thrilled with the answer given the danger of the situation.

Lesnar hasn't been disliked by any means backstage, but multiple people said that this situation left employees all too happy to see him disappearing for a few months. Jericho will not face any disciplinary action for the situation, and he was already well-liked backstage. The feeling among talents is that this was Jericho wanting business to be done the right way, and wanted to make sure talent was protected. It's not expected that WWE will do anything of this nature again unless certain people are made aware beforehand, to prevent things like this from going down again.

One person even thought that the Jericho - Lesnar situation was a work, possibly for a WWE 24 special, but then they were told there were no cameras around for it. All of that speculation ended as Lesnar also used a sexual slur aimed towards Jericho.
