Exclusive: Sam Alvey Talks Short Notice UFC-Gdansk Fight Oct. 21 & Wants Vitor Belfort Next

Sam Alvey is headed back to the cage in short notice fashion, and doing so overseas at UFC Fight Night Gdansk.

During an interview with Fightful's James Lynch, Sam Alvey (31-9) discusses his upcoming fight against Ramazan Emeev (15-3) at UFC Fight Night 118 on Oct. 21. Sam also talks about how quickly this fight came together, why this could be a tough weight cut and why he wants to fight Vitor Belfort next.

"It's going to be a hell of a weight cut, but I'm going to make it," Alvey told Lynch. "I'm leaving on Saturday. A fight's a fight. I'll beat anyone anywhere. I still don't know much about him. I know he's a sambo champ. They fold the same if I get my hands on them." He later confirmed that the weight cut would be a difficult one for him.

The often outspoken Alvey already had plans in order after his fight in Gdansk, aside from hanging out in Poland for another couple of days.

"If I can get two more fights by January 28, I set the record. I'm actually going to go to that fight in Detroit. I'm going to get over there, do a couple of seminars. If I get to fight, that makes it all that much better. I still want Vitor (Belfort). I got my vengeance tour in full swing, I just gotta get them to say yes. Anderson, Machida, Bisping, those are my guys. Any of those four and I'll knock them out," said Alvey.

UFC Fight Night Gdansk is headlined by a welterweight fight between Donald Cerrone and Darren Till on October 21. Fightful.com will have full, live coverage and a post-show podcast. You can see Lynch's full interview with Alvey above.
