A featherweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming Bellator 178 card as AJ McKee will see action against Dominic Mazzotta.
McKee (7-0-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career in Bellator MMA, with notable victories over Ray Wood, Brandon Phillips and Cody Walker. McKee has seen five of his seven bouts as a pro end within the opening round, while two fights went to the scorecards. McKee also earned seven wins during his time as an amateur fighter, with the majority of those wins coming under the Knockout Promotions banner.
Mazzotta (11-1-0) will be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and he will be doing so on the strength of an eight fight winning streak. Mazzotta has only suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that loss came to current UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt. Mazzotta is also a five fight veteran of the Pinnacle Fighting Championships promotion, having won all five fights during his time there.
Bellator 178 takes place on Friday, April 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Daniel Strauss and Patricio Freire headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
