- The UFC has released a preview of this Saturday's UFC Fight Night Salt Lake City, featuring main eventer Alex Caceres speaking about his fight against Yair Rodriguez. You can check it out above.
- Nate Marquardt (34-16-2) vs. Tamdan McCrory (14-4) and Walt Harris (8-4) vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov (16-3) have both been added to UFC Fight Night 96 on October 1.
- Bellator has booked Lena Ovchynnikova (11-4) against Jaimelene Nievera (4-1) for Bellator 160 on August 26,
- The UFC has been late to update their official rankings each of the last two weeks.
- There are several proposed rule changes by the Association of Boxing Commissions in regards to apparel, eye poke warnings, and what classifies a downed opponent. MMA Fighting's Marc Raimondi has covered the proposals extensively.
