We reported this weekend on our first edition of Fighting Words that The Rock and Taz had a bit of a war of words. Well, at least Taz did while the Rock tried to diffuse the situation.
The feud occured when The Rock pitched a promo contest very similar to that in which Taz has conducted on his radio show each week for a year. Taz was none too happy, and let it be known publicly on Twitter.

The situation would appear to have been remedied, as The Rock sent a video in to Taz for him to broadcast on the show. The Rock said that the two have squashed qhatever issues they may have had.
"I'm here to clear the air. There's no beef. Whatever it was, it got squashed. It spiraled out of on control, as they often do on social media," Rock said. "At the end of the day, I didn't know Taz had a radio show -- I know now (laughs). You have Hump Day Promos and people participate in promos and have fun, and that's cool. I can attest to that, because they've been cutting them on me."
Rock would go on to say over a year ago he started a Youtube and hoped that he could put together a promo contest as well. Ultimately, The Rock said it was about the fans. He closed by wishing Taz success on his show and reminding the former ECW Champion that he owes The Rock dinner.
The Rock and Taz's fighting words ended with an amicable solution.
