First Card Announced For “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series”

The first five fight card for the “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series” has been announced and the card has a few UFC veterans on it.

In the show’s main event, UFC veteran and current Titan Fighting Championships Interim Lightweight Champion Kurt Holobaugh taking on current CES MMA Featherweight Champion Matt Bessette in a featherweight division attraction.

Our co-main event for the evening will feature a heavyweight division clash as TUF 11 alumni Greg Rebello faces Cage Fury Fighting Championships Heavyweight Champion Azunna Anyanwu

Filling out the rest of the card is going to be a bantamweight division clash as Boston Salmon faces Ricky Turcios, Charles Byrd faces UFC veteran Justin Jones at middleweight and UFC veteran Joby Sanchez faces Manny Vazquez at bantamweight.

This and all future cards for the Tuesday Night Contenders Series will air exclusively on UFC Fight Pass. The promotion is actually going to be run outside of the UFC auspices, as UFC President Dana White is the promoter for the cards, but it is expected to serve as a feeder promotion to the UFC.

Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series 1 takes place on Tuesday, July 11 from the UFC Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kurt Holobaugh and Matt Bessette headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
