Floyd Mayweather Not Upset With Conor McGregor

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have been embarking on a worldwide media tour to promote their upcoming clash.

Even though the UFC Lightweight Champion has been saying harsh things to the boxer, the legendary star isn’t even mad at the MMA fighter.

“I’ve been doing press conferences now, what, 21 years? Nothing new. He’s entitled to feel what he wants to feel. It’s about giving the people entertainment. The people want to be entertained and I think both press conferences that we’ve done were unbelievable. I’m not upset with him. It’s not like the guy did something harsh to me. He feels like he’s the best warrior in the world. I feel like I was one of the best warriors when I was competing. But I came back, I’m competing for one more,” Mayweather said at a media scrum.

Perhaps the most controversial of McGregor’s statements has been the issue of racism, but McGregor claims he isn’t a racist person.

Mayweather also admits that it is key for him to keep his composure during the world tour events.

“It’s all about keeping my composure. Every time I went out there and I competed against the best guys in boxing, I kept my composure and I went out there and I executed the game plan,” says Mayweather.

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
