Like everyone else, we all wanted to know what the hype was about surrounding Vince Russo’s newest venture with Rocky Mountain Pro Wrestling.
Watch this link from Hunt TV. It’s really well worth the hour. In fact, this is easily the best hour of sports entertainment on TV.
For those who haven’t watched SRS and Vince Russo’s show this Friday on Fightful, RMP ran into a roadblock when Hunt TV’s parent company, Angel2, a Christian based network, decided that pro wrestling isn’t exactly Christian programming.
This was after Hunt TV gave Vince Russo and all the other RPW heads the green light to produce the show. Well after watching the show and checking out the network — HUNT TV — this is as Christian as anything else they air. RPW also includes lots of comedic segments reminiscent of Bobby Heenan’s sas in a very ingenious way.
In many ways it’s very reminiscent of Botched by Nature, the hit show on Bravo with Dr Paul Nassif and Dr Terry Dubrow interpolating their road trips on their way to help their patients in need. Vince Russo is this show’s Dr Nassif and Matt Yaden is Dr Dubrow, and the superstars…well they are the ones these faithful two are cultivating to become the next best thing.
