Terri Runnels: Russo Forced Me To Do Angle I Hated

Not sure if this if this was reported here or conveniently ignored by Fightfil.com however, Terri Runnels in an interview claims the Russo I gored her pleas to drop a tasteless angle that paired Marlena with Russo brainchild Val Venis that she considered offensive & objectionable. Others who were at the WWF at the time felt the expressed similar feeling.

Considering the source I find the charge rather credible. Unlike Taker, Hart, Austin & the Rock who are able to stand up for themselves & protect their brand, prior to Stephanie gaining power, women in the WWF were treated as interchangeable disposable products who can be discarded like used tissue paper. With a few exceptions they were there to realize Russo & McMahon perverted sexist fantasies.

“I really think it was horrible,” Runnels admitted. “I hated it. I really begged Russo.
