Four Burning Questions Heading Into WWE Smackdown Live

The road to Wrestlemania continues as WWE Smackdown Live takes place in Richmond, Virginia. We are five days away from the 'Showcase of the Immortals' and it should be a red hot show this evening.

Announced for the show is a contract signing for the match between AJ Styles and Shane McMahon. Also, a match featuring former members of The Wyatt Family as WWE champion Bray Wyatt goes up against Luke Harper.

There are plenty of questions heading into the last Smackdown Live before Wrestlemania, but these are the four biggest ones:

  1. What will happen at the contract signing with AJ Styles and Shane McMahon? The match became official on last week’s show. McMahon got the better end of the segment when he delivered an elbow from the top rope through the table. This has turned into something no one wanted to see to something that is starting to pique some interest. How WWE goes about this segment this evening will go a long way in determining the view of the fans interest. Usually when a contract signing takes place, a brawl ensues. The brawl occurred last week and doing the same thing two weeks in a row will do nothing and make fans tune out.

  1. Does Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton pick up some steam? The build to Wyatt and Orton breaking up was great but since then it’s been flat. Beyond a backstage segment on the show last week, Wyatt and Orton have been kept away from each other. One would think Orton comes out in the match between Wyatt and Harper. Steam needs to pick up in this program quickly. Not to the fault of the talent but WWE hasn’t done Wyatt and Orton any favors. They have been positioned as the No. 3 program behind Styles-McMahon and the stuff between John Cena/Nikki Bella and The Miz/Maryse. This is the world title program and should be positioned as such. Hopefully, we see it tonight.

  1. How do The Miz/Maryse and John Cena top what they have been doing? It’s hard to do any better of a program considering everyone involved. They have done above and beyond what anyone had expected them to do. Without a doubt this has been the best properly built program on the road to Wrestlemania. Nothing really needs to be done. The hard work is completed. Maybe, some Total Bellas (expletive)? We will wait and see.

  1. Will we get an update on the women’s title? As we said last week, all WWE has done to promote the match is announce Alexa Bliss will be defending her title against Mickie James, Natalya, Carmella and the women on the Smackdown Live roster. They haven’t said what kind of match it will be happen and what other females will be involved. Naomi is likely to return. Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres have been rumored to be two of the women that will be put into the match. It's imperative that fans hear who else will be in the match and what the stipulation will be.
