Grayson Waller And Austin Theory: Roman Reigns' Title Reign Won't Be Anything Close To Ours

There were plenty of questions heading into the biggest professional wrestling event of the year. Let’s see if they were answered.

1. Which match will go on last? Reigns and The Undertaker did close the show and after watching the show, WWE made the right call. Fans knew Goldberg and Lesnar wasn’t going to last that long and WWE never likes to close a show with a match expected to not last more than five minutes. Add in the fact, Jim Ross was scheduled to announce this match, one had to figure this would go on last and could be the end of The Undertaker’s career. While the match was nothing to write home about, the end was absolutely amazing with the WWE legend leaving his gear inside the ring and going down the ramp in smoke. That is the definition of a Wrestlemania moment if you have ever seen one.

2. Will Goldberg vs. Lesnar go more than one minute and twenty-six seconds? To the surprise of many fans, the match went almost five minutes. Normally, going that short wouldn’t be a good thing and the match wouldn’t be too hot. This match helped revitalize the crowd which was getting tired and had just seen an underwhelming match between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt and a concert featuring Pitbull that should have never taken place with the time used for another match. For what it was, this was a great match. It was hard-hitting, Lesnar kicked out of the spear, the spear spot through the barricade was a great spot, Lesnar leapfrogged Goldberg who went into the turnbuckle and the 11 German suplexes. Lesnar and Goldberg should be commended for the entire program. They played their roles fantastically and the best program in a long time.

3. Will John Cena propose to Nikki Bella? As the program with The Miz/Maryse was going on this became the central focus of the story heading into Wrestlemania. While the match was nothing to write home about, it was all about whether Cena would ask Bella to get married. After they won the match, Bella was on the top rope and when she came down, Cena was in the middle of the ring. The 16-time WWE champion gave a speech on how proud he was of Bella for coming back from her neck injury and how much he loved her. Then, he got on one knee and asked her to get married and she said yes. Initially, the idea appeared to be hokey because why would ask someone to get married in front of 60,000 people and millions watching around the world. But, it came off very well as Cena gave a great speech. It was a moment Cena and Bella will remember and we at Fightful.com would like to congratulate the engaged couple.

4. Will we see any major surprise appearances? There were a lack of surprises from the show. We didn’t see The Rock, Hulk Hogan or Mick Foley. One would argue the return of the Hardyz was big enough and didn’t need anything else. We are spoiled every year by everyone who appears on the show but the return of the biggest act right now in wrestling was all the fans needed.
