A heavyweight division clash is the latest addition to next month’s UFC Fight Night 104 card as Anthony Hamilton will be in action against Marcel Fortuna.
Hamilton (15-6-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, defeating Ruan Potts, Daniel Omielanczuk and Damien Grabowski, while suffering defeats to Alexey Oleinik, Todd Duffee, Shamil Abdurakhimov and Francis Ngannou. Hamilton is a former Maximum Fighting Championships Heavyweight Champion, and relinquished the title upon signing with the UFC. Hamilton had a record of 1-2-0 against UFC veterans prior to signing with the UFC, defeating Darrill Schoonover, while suffering defeats to Walt Harris and Fabiano Scherner.
Fortuna (8-1-0) will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he will be doing so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Fortuna is a five fight veteran of the Dragon House MMA promotion, with his most notable win coming over UFC veteran David Mitchell at Dragon House 20. It has been over four years since Fortuna suffered his lone professional MMA defeat, which came to UFC veteran Jesse Taylor at Dragon House 11.
UFC Fight Night 104 takes place on Saturday, February 4 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Dennis Bermudez and Chan Sung Jung headlining.
