Roman Reigns has been hearing it from the crowd. And not in the 50/50 way that the WWE would have you believe. It's more like 80/20 at this point. People were even chanting "You deserve it" at him as he was being mercilessly beaten by Braun Strowman last week on RAW. No matter what they try to do to engender sympathy or make him seem super-cool, it appears that a large chunk of the WWE Universe really wants to hate the guy.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts, no stranger to getting heel heat himself, has two words of advice for Roman Reigns: "Enjoy it."
And for his part, Roberts doesn't understand why the WWE seems to be fighting what the people are asking for--a full on Roman Reigns heel turn.
"I mean, why in God's name would you try to change what the masses want? The masses want to hate the guy, let them hate." Roberts' philosophy is that Roman has to take up the point of view: You can hate me, "Just pay me while you're doing it."
And not only that, Roberts thinks Roman should pull out all the stops in getting the audience to boo him: "Pull hair, eye gouge, do what you have to do.”
