The vacant Invicta Fighting Championships Strawweight Title will get a new owner at Invicta FC 28 as Janaisa Morandin battles Virna Jandiroba.
It is unknown at this time if the title bout will serve as the main event of the card.
Morandin (10-1-0) has won just one of two fights under the Invicvta FC banner, with that lone win coming over Kinberly Tanaka Novaes at Invicta FC 26. Morandin’s lone professional MMA defeat came to Livia Renata Souza, who was recently signed to a UFC contract. Morandin is fighting for a championship for the first time in her professional MMA career, which has lasted over four years now.
Jandiroba (12-0-0) has only competed once thus far under the Invicta FC banner, defeating Amy Montenegro at at Invicta FC 26. Jandiroba has finished all but two of her opponents by submission, while those other two wins came by way of decision. Jandiroba also defeated two UFC veterans prior to signing with Invicta FC, with those UFC vet’s being Ericka Almeida and Lisa Ellis.
Invicta Fighting Championships 28 takes place on Saturday, March 24 from a location to be announced with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
