Jerry Lawler Comments on JBL/Mauro Situation: "That's Just JBL ... You Have To Know The Guy"

John Bradshaw Layfield is in some hot water about his reported treatment of his former broadcast partner Mauro Ranallo, as well as his history of bullying in the WWE.

A fan brought a "JBL Bullied Me" sign to SmackDown last night and the former champion was even showered with "Fire Bradshaw" chants throughout the evening.

But another former colleague has come to his defense. Jerry "The King" Lawler made his thoughts on the matter public on Episode 5 of "Dinner With The King." You can listen to the podcast below:

Lawler says that while some may think that JBL is a bad hombre, with an even worse reputation, he's an acquired taste.

"I'm a JBL fan. Here's the thing about JBL; you have to know the guy. And if you don't get an opportunity to really know JBL, you can be offended. JBL is a funny guy. He's a big guy. He's boisterous. He comes across as, sometimes, crude and loud. But you gotta know him. That's just JBL. He's the same guy on commentary as he is in catering."

Lawler also thinks that WWE will not be letting JBL go.

"I don't [think so], but hey, that's my opinion. I don't think he will, not over something like this."

We have yet to see what will happen, if anything, regarding JBL's employment with the WWE.
