Jim Ross Hopes Bray Wyatt Gets To Play Face In The Randy Orton Feud

Jim Ross wants Bray Wyatt to be the good-guy in this Randy Orton feud.

Last week on Smackdown, Orton revealed his plans to befriend and betray Wyatt after weeks of denying he would wrestle Wyatt at Wrestlemania 33 despite winning the Royal Rumble match. Smackdown held a battle royale which ended in a draw, then a match between AJ Styles and Luke Harper to determine a number one contender for Wyatt's WWE Championship. After Styles was determined to be the opponent for Wyatt at Wrestlemania, Orton would turn on Wyatt and say he wanted him at Wrestlemania. Now it is unclear what Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan will decide about the situation. In his blog from Wednesday, Jim Ross said he enjoyed the entirety of the storyline and looks forward to a great match.

Mercedes Mone On Tony Khan Getting Attacked On 4/24 AEW Dynamite: Say Hello To Your New CEO

"Interesting conclusion to SD Live Tuesday night that created a memorable visual for sure. Not sure who the protagonist and the antagonist in this creative equation was supposed to be but Bray Wyatt seemed to come off as a  somewhat sympathetic character after Orton's heinous deed of arson. Based on what I have seen thus far, I'd book Orton as the villain and Bray as the character 'face but you likely already knew that. I simply feel that's what the fans would prefer to see based on their reactions to both talents.Plus, I'm challenged to look at Luke Harper as a fan favorite just yet but I applaud WWE creative for providing Harper a chance to move up the card and to contribute more to the company. Harper deserves the opportunity that he is receiving," wrote Ross.

In his blog, he would also discuss the other storylines from Smackdown which are setting up Wrestlemania 33 and his feeling on Jeff Jarrett changing things at Impact Wrestling.
