Jim Ross Wants Samoa Joe To Face Brock Lesnar

Jim Ross wants Samoa Joe versus Brock Lesnar at next year's Wrestlemania.

On Monday, former NXT Champion Samoa Joe debuted on the main roster, attacking Seth Rollins on the behalf of Triple H. Rollins had gone to NXT on Saturday to challenge Triple H, who said he would meet the "destroyer" soon. On Raw, Triple H called out Rollins to the ring, and he was attacked from behind by Samoa Joe, and had his knee injured in the process. Ross wrote about the appearance in a recent blog. He gave his thoughts on the debut and Samoa Joe's future.

"Highlight of Monday Night RAW for me was the show ending debut of Samoa Joe who violently took out Seth Rollins who was coming to the ring to confront HHH. Joe was aggressive as hell and I loved it and it certainly suspended my disbelief in a memorable way. Unlike bad acting and watching untrained wrestlers impersonate actors while reciting memorized verbiage which seems to resonate throughout the wrestling business these days," wrote Ross.

The event had Ross contemplating the future, including Samoa Joe eventually getting into the ring with Brock Lesnar. The two both take influences from mixed-martial-arts in their in-ring style.

"Would it be a booking crime to pencil in a Joe-Brock Wrestlemania main event for NOLA Wrestlemania in 2018? Even with Joe on the scene, apparently as a HHH associate, which still will not make either of them automatically "heels" at least at this time, I still expect to see HHH vs Rollins on April 2 in Orlando," wrote Ross

Ross believes Samoa Joe's debut on Raw was better than anything that could have happened with a Royal Rumble match debut. He would also discuss the potential of Wrestlemania season and Diamond Dallas Page possibly being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
