Jim Wallhead Notified Of Potential USADA Violation

Jim Wallhead has been notified by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) of a potential violation of the programs drug test.

The potential failed drug test came from an out of competition sample that was collected on October 7.

Here is a statement issued by the UFC on the matter:

UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Jim Wallhead of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collected on October 7, 2017.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Wallhead. Under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.

Wallhead has already claimed innocence through a statement issued on Facebook and he is already requesting that his B sample get tested as well.

It has been a rough time for the fighter in recent months, because he also pulled out of UFC Fight Night Gdansk last month due to injury.

There has yet to be any kind of punishment handed to the fighter at this time, but he could face up to a year suspension for his first violation.
