Jinder Mahal Knows It's Hard For Some To Buy Him As WWE Champion

Despite a run as WWE Champion and big pay-per-view wins, Jinder Mahal knows that some fans don't view him as a main event level character.

Speaking to Times of India, Mahal said that overcoming perception is a huge hurdle for him. Mahal had only two singles wins on Raw or Smackdown in a five-year period before his push.

"The viewers and the fans hesitate to see me as a main-event guy. That is a challenge, my biggest challenge. Right now, my goal is to change people's perception and make them believe that I belong here, and that I deserve to be the champion," said Mahal.

The former enhancement talent-turned WWE Champion is well on his way, with back-to-back wins over Randy Orton.
