Jinder Mahal has squeezed his main event spot tight, and doesn't plan on letting it go.
After successfully defending his WWE Championship against Randy Orton Sunday at WWE Money in the Bank, Mahal appeared on Talking Smack and made a few bold statements. The 30-year old Mahal mentioned that he thought Randy Orton was no longer at the peak of his career, and that he himself would reach legendary status.
"When Randy Orton was WWE Champion for the first time, I was in high school," said Mahal. "He's past his prime. I'm not even entering my prime (yet). That's a scary thought. I intend on being a longtime champion. I'm going to beat Randy Orton's record, I'm going to beat John Cena's record, I'm going to beat Ric Flair's record, because I'm the hardest working man in the WWE."
Orton is a 14-time world champion, while both Cena and Flair both have 16 reigns recognized by WWE. Jinder Mahal began his first last month.
