Jinder Mahal Says His Dream Opponent Is Brock Lesnar, But Knows John Cena Is Coming For His Title First

Jinder Mahal has been the WWE Champion for about 12 days, and it seems like the power has gone to his head, because he has an idea for who he'd like to face next and he might be breaking off more than he can chew on this one.

"I think my dream opponent is Brock Lesnar," said Mahal in an interview with SportsKeeda. "Imagine that match – Champion vs Champion, WWE Champion vs Universal Champion. He is my dream opponent because if I can knock off Brock Lesnar that would truly solidify me… I’m the best and let the world know that the WWE Champion is better than Universal Champion."

Matt Hardy To Appear On 4/25 TNA iMPACT!

Of course, that's just a pipe dream at this point, with Brock ensconced on RAW and Jinder on SmackDown. There's a wealth of potential opponents on the blue brand for The Modern Day Maharaja to deal with, including a certain 16-Time World Champ who's due back from hiatus soon.

"At the moment (my top opponent) is Randy Orton, but, I see John Cena – when he returns – as my biggest competition. I have the WWE Championship, which means I'm the face of WWE, and for a long time John Cena is the face of WWE, and I know he's not going to give up that title as the face of WWE anytime soon. So, I see him coming to challenge, but in the meantime, I have Randy Orton, who I have a match with at Money in the Bank and I look to retain my championship."

You gotta hand it to Jinder. Dude ain't scared of the magnitude of the moment he finds himself in right now.
