John Makdessi Says Mickey Gall Injured Him, Gall Says He Feels Bad About It

John Makdessi was all set to fight Sage Northcutt this past summer at UFC 214, but an injury caused him to have to pull out of the bout.

The longtime UFC fighter is now saying that fellow UFC star Mickey Gall injured him during a training camp sparring session.

“Mickey gall is a f--king punk,” Makdessi said to FanSided. “He’s a deceiving, fake ass bitch. I heard a crunch and the pain was immediate. I really didn’t want to cause a commotion but I looked in his eyes and thought ‘Are you a f--king idiot?'”

Makdessi suffered a shoulder sprain that kept him out of action for the rest of the summer and fall, but he returns to action this December at UFC On Fox 26.

Gall does admit that he accidentally injured Makdessi, but he does feel sorry about the situation.

“It's true. I did hurt him,” Gall stated to Bloody Elbow. “It was an accident and I felt really bad about it. I was a fan of his. I would never want to disrespect a training partner or the gym. People go hard with me so I go hard too; never ill spirited. I remember going with John; it was the third round. The two previous rounds I had gone with strong guys like Alex Garcia and Peter Grajcar, and we were using muscle and going hard. I felt awful about it. I should have done a better job protecting him. It was my fault. But sh-t happens, it ain't checkers. I never want to hurt someone in the gym. Especially TriStar, a gym I have a lot of respect for. And though I train there a lot and love the guys, it's not my home gym — I'm a visitor, and that's not a good look.”

While Makdessi is back in action at UFC On Fox 26, the undefeated Gall returns to action against Randy Brown at UFC 217.
