John Morrison Not By Surprised By The Miz's Longevity In WWE

Former WWE superstar John Morrison isn't surprised his former tag team partner The Miz is with WWE for such a long time.

In an interview with Sportskeeda, Morrison said The Miz's character is one that he has been living 24/7 for years and that his success comes from that character being genuine and boisterous. The Miz's longevity has carried him to a WWE Championship and multiple Intercontinental title reigns.

“I can’t say I’m surprised (by his longevity)… He’s an extremely hard-working guy and one thing to note on successful professional wrestlers, in my opinion, is people believing their own hype, living their own gimmick, people who are emphatically themselves, The Miz is all those things," Morrison said. "I think that’s why, when you’re watching him, he seems like The Miz all the time, there’s no slipping in and out of character and that’s because he’s doing him, that’s who he is, obviously with the volume turned up on TV. It’s rare that you can find somebody that’s so all-encompassing as a character and I think that’s why he’s been so successful.”

In his time with WWE, Morrison won a couple of tag team titles with The Miz: the WWE and World Tag Team Championships. Morrison is the current 5 Star Wrestling champion and is a mainstay on El Rey's Lucha Underground program, where he is also Lucha Underground champion.

Morrison is also a part of 5 Star Wrestling's 128-Man Tournament which will include Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio.
