Kamaru Usman won his fifth fight under the UFC banner when he defeated Sean Strickland by unanimous decision at UFC 210.

With the fight against Strickland behind him, the TUF champion in Usman now turns his focus to Neil Magny.

“I want Magny,” Usman said after the fight. “I wanted Dong Hyun Kim because he’s high up there, he’s a grappler, and he’s an aggressive guy who comes forward. I wanted him. I think that would be a good style clash, but I’m hearing he’s booked (against Covington). If Mangy’s available I want him next. I want him in Dallas. I’m from Arlington, Texas, and I want the chance to go home and really entertain my fans, family, everybody.”

Usman is currently undefeated in the UFC, having a record of 5-0-0 in the promotion (11-1-0 overall).

Even though he is happy to pick up win number five in the UFC, the welterweight prospect felt like he didn’t do his best against Strickland.

“I didn’t feel too great in there,” Usman said. “I couldn’t really find my timing in there. He’s a tall, long guy. I could see why he gives a lot of guys problems. This is a guy that’s taken out some of the top prospects in the division. But I’m not a prospect. I’m a contender. I just had to go out there and really put on a good show.”

As far as Magny goes, the fighter last competed at UFC 207 and he doesn’t have another fight scheduled at this time.
