Ken Anderson Discusses What He Thought Led To His WWE Demise

Ken Anderson's switch to the Raw brand might have spelled the end of his run there.

At least, that was his feeling as he spoke to Steve Austin on his podcast recently. He felt that he earned respect while working as a member of the Smackdown roster, but remained humble while gaining popularity. Once he got over to Raw, however, he didn't feel that he was humble enough in a new locker room.

"I didn't take the time to humble myself again and start off as a new guy" Anderson said.

Anderson went on to explain that another reason for his release was that he worked a realistic style that he thought set himself apart from everyone else, and that people on Raw may have seen that as a sign that he didn't work well with others. He recalls that one person came up to him one day and sadi that working that style wouldn't suit well with others on Raw, but he failed to listen..

"I remember Taker pulling me aside one day and telling me to 'Keep doing that stuff because it's unique and sets you apart but I'm telling you right now that you'll get over to Raw and there will be people you'll come into contact with that aren't going to appreciate that'." he recalled.

Anderson was released from the WWE in May of 2009 shortly after he returned to Raw in a ten man tag team match. He has claimed that it was due to a back body drop that had Orton land on his neck, which he's had issues with in the past. He hasn't been brought back since.
