“I know (Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee) talk (expletive) about everybody, but I don’t want this,” Nurmagomedov said to MMA Junkie. “I know this: Both guys are great athletes, good fighters. I’m going to say good luck, don’t get injured, and see you in December. Good luck, guys.”

Nurmagomedov and Ferguson were scheduled to meet multiple times over the years, but injuries to both fighters kept them from their Octagon battle, as well as Ramadan and hospitalizations.

When it comes to a prediction for the UFC 216 main event, the perennial contender believes it is going to be Ferguson taking the gold home.

"It’s “60-40 in favor of Ferguson,” Nurmagomedov said. “I think these guys are going to fight all five rounds.”

UFC 216 takes place on Saturday, October 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
