Leonard Ellerbe Says 'Cold Pimp' McGregor Should Know Better About Racial Remarks

Leonard Ellerbe is the CEO of Mayweather Promotions and he has been introducing Floyd Mayweather at the four city media tour.

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has been saying some borderline racial things during the press tour, something that the CEO feels McGregor should know better about.

“He knows better,” Ellerbe said at a media scrum. “He knows what he’s doing. He’s pushing the envelope a bit. He knows what he’s doing.”

McGregor addressed the racial comments on the New York City portion of the tour, but concluded that by saying that he is half black.

Speaking of the NYC leg of the tour, the CEO also found McGregor’s outfit that night to be that of a cold pimp.

“I’m just laughing at his outfit,” he said. “He’s a cold pimp. It takes a lot of nerve for a guy to come up on stage and do that. You’ve gotta give it (to him): He knows what he’s doing. I started laughing. My first reaction (to his coat) was, ‘He’s a cold pimp.’ That was my first reaction.”

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
