A lightweight division affair has been added to this July’s UFC On Fox 25 card as Kyle Bochniak is in action against Jeremy Kennedy.
Bochniak (7-1-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, defeating Enrique Barzola and suffering a defeat to Charles Rosa. Bochniak spent the early part of his MMA career in the CES MMA promotion, winning all six of his fights there before signing with the UFC. Bochniak is also competing for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout was at UFC On Fox 21 in August 2015.
Kennedy (10-0-0) has already earned two wins in UFC competition, having defeated the duo of Alessandro Ricci and Rony Jason. Kennedy is also a former Battlefield Fight League Lightweight Champion, having defeated Mario Pereira to win the gold at BFL 34 in January 2015. Kennedy also won the Hard Knocks Fighting Championships Lightweight Title as an amateur fighter, then would turn pro a year later.
UFC On Fox 25 takes place on Saturday, July 22 from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York with Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
