Lina Lansberg Says She Wants To Fight Cyborg Again

MMA

Fans who tuned into UFC Fight Night 95 this past weekend saw Lina Lansberg on the wrong end of a beating from Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino.

Lansberg has spoken out about the fight, putting over Cyborg's power before saying she'd like to fight Cyborg again. Lansberg took to her Facebook page and she issued a statement about the fight with Cyborg, as well as addressing her future in mixed martial arts.

Finally back home and settled with more experience and some perspective on things. Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos is just a phenomenal fighter with insane power in her hands! Not in any of my 85 Thai boxing fights and 8 MMA fights have I felt those kind of punches. My nose got cracked in three places right after the first couple of punches. First time for everything I guess…

Before I accepted this fight I knew about her weight, skill level and ability to finish opponents within the first round. Thats exactly why I took the fight. To step up to the ultimate challenge, to put myself out there far away from comfort…

I thought I would be able to show more. My camp was not perfect but good, our game plan was great but Cyborg shut me down in every way.

I have got some healing up to do but can’t wait to get back in the gym and get ready for my next fight! I am looking to rack up some wins in 135 and I wish to fight Cyborg again before my career is over. From the bottom of my heart… THANK YOU ALL for the love and support before and after the fight! Special thanks to my coaches Akira Corassani and Joakim Engberg who were there for me in every single way. Big thanks to my training partners at Redline Training Center and Gripen Cross Fit. My sponsors: Palmer Friskvard, @mmsports, @tattooinkarnation

Lansberg is currently serving a 45-day medical suspension from the fight.
