Mackenzie Dern Signs With Invicta FC, Debuts This December

Undefeated female fighter and decorated jiu-jitsu competitor Mackenzie Dern has signed a multi-fight contract with Invicta Fighting Championships.

The announcement was made by Dern on The MMA Hour.

She won't have to wait long to make her promotional debut, as it comes against Kaline Medeiros this December at Invicta FC 26.

Dern (4-0-0) has competed in both the Legacy Fighting Championships and Legacy Fighting Alliance thus far since turning pro in 2016. Dern has earned two of her wins as a pro by first round submission, over Montana Stewart and Mandy Polk. Dern has also seen her other two pro wins come by decision, they came over Kenia Ross and Katherine Roy.

Medeiros (8-5-0) is competing for the first time in over a year and she has won two of three under the Invicta FC banner. Medeiros has previously challenged for the Invicta FC Strawweight Title, losing to then champion Angela Hill at Invicta FC 20. Medeiros has also competed once in Bellator MMA, defeating Sarah Payant by submission at Bellator 140.

Invicta Fighting Championships 26 takes place on Friday, December 8 from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri with Jennifer Maia and Agnieszka Niedzwiedz. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
