The main event is set for the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Rotterdam card as #10 Alexander Volkov faces #11 Stefan Struve.
Volkov (28-6-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, with victories coming over the duo of Timothy Johnson and Roy Nelson. Volkov is also a former Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion, the Russian defeated Rich Hale at Bellator 84 to win the gold. Volkov hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with his last loss coming to UFC veteran Cheick Kongo at Bellator 139 in June 2015.
Struve (28-8-0) will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with his two victories coming over Antonio Silva and Daniel Omielanczuk. Struve is only going to be headlining his second UFC event, as he headlined UFC On Fuel TV 5, where he defeated current UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic by TKO. Struve is actually undefeated thus far on “Fight Night” cards, as his win over the previously mentioned Antonio Silva came at UFC Fight Night 87.
