Manager Says McGregor Getting Lucrative Deals Due To Super Fight

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is back training for his upcoming fight with the legendary Floyd Mayweather.

According to the fighter’s manager in Audie Attar, the fighter is getting a lot of lucrative deals in association with the super fight.

“There’s a lot of great deals that we’re going to be announcing,” Attar said to MMA Junkie. “But it’s still a work in progress.”

McGregor is set to make a huge sum of money for the fight alone, although that number won’t officially be released by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) until the fight is completed.

One thing that is bring the money if for the UFC fighter is that due to the fact that the UFC has no control over any aspect of the fight, the fighter isn’t tied down to a Reebok deal. That allows him to explore other sponsorship deals outside of the clothing manufacturer.

Attar also stated that without the super fight, there would be no such lucrative deals for his fighter.

“I think yes, they have been (the most lucrative deals we’ve ever done), and that goes hand and hand with the fight we’re a part of that he’s not only a fighter in, but a promoter in,” said Attar. “That I also negotiated.”

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
