Max Holloway Says Dana White & The UFC Are The Real McGregor vs. Mayweather Winners

UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway is only one of two fighters to take UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor the distance in the UFC.

McGregor is currently preparing for the boxing super fight against Floyd Mayweather this coming August. However, the real winner of that fight in Holloway’s opinion is going to be UFC President Dana White and the UFC itself.

“The big winner of that fight is Dana White,” Holloway said at a media scrum. “And the UFC, dog. They’re the big winners.”

Holloway became the undisputed UFC Featherweight Champion at UFC 212, when he defeated Jose Aldo by TKO.

One thing that the Hawaiian would like to see in the focus being shift from McGregor to himself.

“But, at the end of the day, we’re not here to talk about that guy,” Holloway said. “That guy’s not even in my sport right now. That guy’s over there focusing on boxing. This is called mixed martial arts. They know who to call. they’ve got Dana White’s number. They’ve got my manager’s number. I’m the best 145-er in the world, and if they’ve got a question of me going up to 155, I’ll do it no problem. I love eating. I’m Polynesian. You can see – my chubby cheeks is giving it away a little bit.”

Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
