UFC Interim Featherweight Champion Max Holloway is facing UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo in a title unification bout at UFC 212.

The interim title holder not only wants to become the undisputed champion, but he also wants to send Aldo packing.

“I came with a soccer ball because the old boy said he wants to play soccer after he’s done fighting,” Holloway said at a UFC 212 press conference. “Us Hawaiians, we like to give gifts, and this gift is for him. He’s going into retirement. It’s right here. He can have the ball, and we can get this fight going.”

Holloway became the interim champion when he defeated Anthony Pettis by TKO at UFC 206 this past December.

Even though he will be fighting in enemy territory, the interim champion cannot wait to fight in front of the rowdy Brazilian fans.

“I can’t wait to get in front of (the Brazilian) people,” Holloway said. “It would be stupid to think I wouldn’t be the bad guy coming to the fight. I’m the bad guy, and I’m embracing the role. He’s got to do his job. Show up June 3, and let’s get it done.”

UFC 212 takes place on Saturday, June 3 from the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Max Holloway headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event.
