Mayweather Says He’s In McGregor’s Head

Floyd Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor just finished a four city presser tour that saw the fighters get into many heated exchanges.

The legendary boxer says that he did his job during the tour and now he’s in the head of his opponent.

“When McGregor goes up there to speak and talk, I sit back and let him speak his peace and let him say what he has to say and what I do, I just sit quiet,” Mayweather said at a media scrum. “When it’s my turn to go up, I give a speaking, he’s interrupting me. So it’s obvious I’m getting under his skin.

Despite their ongoing rivalry, the boxing great does admit that McGregor makes for a heck of a dance partner.

“I never needed Conor McGregor when I made $800 million,” Mayweather said. “So I’m going OK. But he’s been a good dance partner, and I need him for Aug. 26.”

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
