Mein vs. Muhammad Set For UFC 213

A welterweight division clash is the latest addition to the upcoming UFC 213 card as Jordan Mein will see action against Belal Muhammad.

Mein (29-11-0) is going to enter the fight on a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory in just about three years time. Mein has earned a total of three victories under the UFC banner, with those three wins coming over the trio of Dan Miller, Hernani Perpetuo and Mike Pyle. Mein also fought three times in the Strikeforce promotion, where he holds a win over the now retired Evangelista Santos.

Muhammad (11-2-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC tenure, with his last fight being a win over Randy Brown at UFC 208. Muhammad is a former Titan Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion, having defeated Steve Carl at Titan FC 38 to win the gold. Muhammad also spent a little time competing in Bellator MMA, where he defeated the duo of AJ Matthews and Quinton McCottrell.

UFC 213 takes place on Saturday, July 8 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
