UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping won the gold when he scored a first round knockout victory over Luke Rockhold at UFC 199.

Rockhold is on his path back to the championship and the current champion wants him to claw his way back to the top.

“It’s a good job that (Rockhold) looks good, because he obviously can’t add up,” Bisping said on TUF Talk. “Because 15 months? I fought less than a year ago. He hasn’t fought since I knocked him out in three minutes – yes, three minutes – out cold. Then he comes back. He fights – who was it, David Branch? Never heard of him. You should go and rematch Chris Weidman – (they’re) a couple of bums. Try and claw your way back to the top.”

The former champion just returned at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh, where he scored a second round submission over former World Series Of Fighting Light Heavyweight & Middleweight Champion David Branch.

Bisping is currently in training to fight former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre at UFC 217, a fight that Rockhold has spoken out against in recent weeks.

UFC 217 takes place on Saturday, November 4 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Michael Bisping and Georges St. Pierre headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
