Mike Rhodes Replacing Chris Honeycutt At Bellator 174

Chris Honeycutt has suffered an undisclosed injury and he has been pulled from this Friday Night’s Bellator 174 card. R07eplacing him against Kendall Grove will be fellow UFC veteran Mike Rhodes.

Grove (23-16-0-1NC) has won two of his last three in Bellator MMA, defeating the duo of Joey Beltran and Francisco France, while suffering a defeat to Alexander Shlemenko. Grove has previously challenged for the Bellator MMA Middleweight Title, losing to then champion Brandon Halsey at Bellator 137. Grove was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 3, as he defeated Ed Herman in the finals of the reality show.

Rhodes (10-4-0) will be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and he does so while riding a four fight winning streak. Rhodes went winless during a three fight run in the UFC, dropping fights to George Sullivan, Robert Whittaker and Erick Silva. Rhodes is a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Middleweight Champion. He gave up the belt when he signed with the UFC in 2014.

Bellator 174 takes place on Friday, March 3 from the Winstar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Marloes Coenen and Julia Budd headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event.
