The Miz Reveals What Made Him Break Down After His WWE Championship Win In 2010

The Miz first appeared in WWE in 2004, as a part of the company's Tough Enough's fourth season on Smackdown. Over fourteen years, he's seen highs and lows during his run.

On a recent episode of WWE's new series "Photo Shoot," the decorated WWE star thought back on his November 2010 WWE Championship win, when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to defeat Randy Orton. A former reality TV star, Miz said that his friend and second Alex Riley hugging him after the win made him break down.

"It's funny, when you're winning the WWE Championship you go through so many emotions. You start choking up. (I) remember as a kid being in the living room with all my friends, watching The Rock and Austin. Then there I am, the WWE Champion. You start to choke up, and you're like 'don't cry, I'm a man, I'm tough!' Then (Alex Riley) and gave me a hug and I said 'Oh my god, I'm going to lose it.'"

Riley and Miz would later split up before briefly feuding. Miz is still in WWE, and has gone on to star in several WWE Studios films. Riley would make an appearance in the Netflix series GLOW
