The Miz Thinks Tim Tebow Would Make A Great Heel In WWE

The football world remembers former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow as a very religious football player with a wacky throwing motion who led the Broncos to an NFL playoff win in the 2011 season. Tebow is hoping the baseball world knows him as something else. The Miz thinks the WWE Universe could know him as one of the greatest heels in the business.

The Miz recently appeared on the ESPN show SportsNation to promote SummerSlam which will take place on August 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. He said that Tebow being a such a good person would make WWE fans turn on him as he would portray a 'holier than thou' persona.

"He would be the greatest bad guy we've ever had," The Miz said. "In the world, he's a good guy - he's so good. In the WWE, he would bad because he's so good. The WWE Universe likes bad boys."

Tebow has been in the sports news as of late. Tebow said that he is now trying to make a career in professional baseball after last playing in the NFL regular season since 2012. This wouldn't be the first time a former football player would transition into professional wrestling. Recent cases in WWE include Roman Reigns, Titus O'Neil, Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley. Current TNA talent Moose was also a former NFL player, playing for four teams from 2006-2012.

The Miz is scheduled to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews at SummerSlam. The interview can be seen in the video above where he talks about a variety of topics, such as Conor McGregor's comments about pro wrestlers.
