Joshua Robinson, who is a MMA instructor in Singapore, has been sentenced to 4 years in prison after being convicted for charges of 3 counts of sex with minors under the age of 16, 5 counts of making/possessing obscene films and 1 count of showing an obscene film to a minor.

Robinson first met a 15 year old girl through a social media site Meet Me and then persuaded the girl to exchange various forms of media with him. The MMA trainer would meet the girl a short time later at a train station and then the two would have sex at his apartment, which was recorded by his cell phone.
The girl would tell her parents what happened on the same day, the parents would then report the situation to the authorities. Police would eventually raid Robinson’s apartment, where they would find 321 videos featuring child pornography, with 12 other films featuring him having sex with minors.
He would later be released on bail and would be arrested again a short time later for showing a six year old girl pornographic videos at a BJJ gym that her father was training at.
Prior to his sentencing, it was revealed that Robinson could have spent up to 10 years in jail and also would have to pay a fine for each charge of sex with an underage child (3 in total). The sentence of 4 years in prison would cause a public outcry, which prompted the Attorney General of Singapore to state that he would look into things further.
A petition was filed online with Change.org that pushed for a harsher sentence for Robinson, it had just under 30,000 signatures on it as of this writing.
